Red Roof Inn Kingsland

I’ve stayed in some pretty bad hotels/motels but this one tops the cake. Me and my family checked in tonight after 8pm to get some rest while on a road trip home. We were packing our bags and leaving by 9pm. We booked 2 rooms. One room was worse than the other. The first room had stained bed sheets, sheets with cigarette burn holes, holes in the walls, torn up chairs. The second room had a dead roach, spider webs, hair stubble in the sink, a stained toilet with a dirty toilet seat, a shower with stains everywhere, and a white towel with brown and red stains. Both non-smoking rooms stunk like stale cigarette smoke. The woman at the front desk did not want to help us at all. Outside the rooms were people doing ***** and freaking out. We decided that there was no way we could spend another hour there let alone the night and packed our bags, ate the money we spent on this place and went to another hotel.

Horrible. The dehumidifier in room was full. Sheets were stained, no tissues, toilet didn’t flush correctly, shower leaked and floor tile was warped. The outside lights were not on, the pool was green

The room needs renovation. The toilet roll holder was about to fall off the wall. The light over the sink would not turn on at the flip of the switch. The floor was dirty and sticky. The A/C had rumble that sounded like a diesel was right outside door and after awhile it got quieted. Overall, I would compare this Red Roof Inn to four star dive.

This “nonsmoking” room smelled like a 1950’s bar. Smelled so bad like smoke. Bed felt cheap and hard. The front door had paint hanging off it, tub filthy with rings of dirt. Only 1 clean towel and one brown dirty towel. Burn marks on surfaces. They were out of toothbrushes, toilet dirty and dust half an inch thick. Absolutely unhygienic and smelly. What happened to Red Roof Inn? 80$ for this? Never again.

To be fair, some things can not be controlled by the hotel. The people next door who had their tv on till 12:30 am, the crying baby on the other side and the barking dog outside. And the price might be considered fair for the area. But when I stay at a mid range hotel, I expect better accommodations for a low priced hotel. This had decent beds, though the pillows were less than perfect. I had 8 to choose from and they were probably feather. You lay on them and they go flat. The room number was gone, not sure what happened to that. The chair in the room sank when you sat in it and had holes in it. The ceiling in the bathroom looked damaged, hopefully water damage not mold. But the real kicker was the UNDERWEAR I found in the bath tub when I went to take a shower. Guess cleaning didn't make too high on the list. But, I was staying there because next door had a charger so I might stay there again if I am in the area. I was not there long enough to try internet, tv, or have the continental breakfast so I have no opinion. I appreciated the dehumidifier but had to turn it around so the light would not keep me awake. The refrigerator worked fine. When I called to ask about the ice machine, I found that the phone didn't work. Oh, and the ice machine downstairs was broken. But it did work upstairs and this was a rare hotel that had an elevator.

Horrible hotel thatni ever stayed. Bathroom lights was flickering. I thought their bathroom ligjt was a motion ligjt ended up taking a shower while the lights keeps on and off while i am taking a shower. Ice bending machine on the 2nd floor was broken. I have to asked front desk where i could het some ice fory cooler. During breakfast their coffee is as cold as orange juice I asked where can i microwave the coffee. We checkout already and they said i can reheat my coffee in out room but we already ready to leave. Not even a microwave in their dining area for people who wants to reheat their damn cold coffee. I will never stay in this location anymore. We have just no choice most hotels at St. Marys are all fully booked that weekend.

I stayed there for one night on May 31, 2022. I should have been suspicious when I saw the dehumidifier in the room that there was a problem. Despite the two holes that had been punched into the bathroom door, I had been driving for 12 hours and needed some rest, so I stayed. Around 1 am, the dehumidifier turned off, most likely because the tank was full. I woke up with a sore throat, and now that I have made it home, I am sick with a sinus infection. I will never stay at that place again; much better options out there. In general, since I travel with a dog, most of the Red Roof Inns I have stayed at are nasty, and this one with mold has done me in. I never will stay at another one.
